Searching for Patient Data

The Patient Search View is the main tool for locating patient records within the database. It is located on the left side of the main window:

Performing a Search

The search interface allows you to generate a list of patient charts based on specific search criteria. The search functionality includes:

• A dropdown menu (titled "Last Name begins with...") that allows you to choose different search criteria.
• A search field where you can enter letters to dynamically filter patient records.
• Filters to refine the search results, such as filtering by assigned doctor.

As you type in the search field, results will automatically appear in the patient list.

Selecting a Patient Record

Once the search is complete, the matching patient records will be displayed in a table. To open a patient’s chart, simply click on the corresponding row. The main window will update to show the selected patient’s information.
